No, you can work in clinics as well
I know that a Med Tech. is somebody who is able to pass meds under the supervision of a nurse but I didn't think that you had to be med tech certified to work in a nursing home. I work at a nursing home as a CNA and everybody I work with is a CNA. CNA's only help residents with ADLs and are not allowed to distribute medicines or apply topical creams. I would look into that again because I know for sure you don't have to be a Med Tech to work in a nursing home.
You could work in a nursing home but not as a CNA. You'll need to retake the class and get your certification to be a licensed CNA at any facility. hi l am looking for red cross cna program for four weeks

For most nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities, there are a variety of positions that do not require an RN or LVN degree. You may however need to be certified in CPR, have some CNA training etc. I work in a Florida nursing home, and I do the laundry and some housekeeping, so no you don't have to have a nursing degree to work in a nursing home.In order to make decent money you will want at least a CNA or LPN licence thou. I am going to be taking CNA classes at the first of the year to increase my income.
You can free CNA classes at your local nursing home, when they are hiring.
With a CNA certification there are several available jobs. You can work as a nurses assistant in a nursing home or even work at a hospital. A CNA is also a step away from being a nurse which can open up more opportunites.
A Certified Nursing Assistant CNA must get their GED before taking the CNA coursework and test.
