Can a christian go out clubbing and have clean fun?

The answer to this will depend on who you ask.

Many Christians go clubbing actively - but that doesn't mean that everyone approves of it.

As a Christian, you have an obligation not to drink to excess and not to behave promiscuously. So long as you pay attention to these two things, there is no reason why you can't have fun with your friends clubbing.

ANSWERThe answer to all of these questions are really simple, without having to resort to a list of do's and do nots- which are legalistic. You just need to always ask yourself one question about this, or should I see this movie, or listen to this music, or do this or do that etc.

That one question is, "Does me doing this bring glory to God." If you cannot sincerely answer yes to this question about some activity you are to engage in, rest assured that it isn't something that is in God's will for you to do. 1 Corinthians 10:31 is a good life verse for anyone, concerning subjects like this.

Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors. The important thing is, are you going to have an effect there, or be affected by what's there. If you don't have the strength of character to stand without compromising yourself then you shouldn't put yourself into that kind of position.
