A collection agency, or their legal representative that won a judgment against you after filing suit, could have your checking account attached and your wages garnished. These legal actions would be accomplished and allowed through a court order. No deductions or garnishments could happen without a judge's order.

Bank account levies are one of the ways that creditors enforce court order judgments. If the debtor did not file an answer to the lawsuit that established the judgment, depending on the time that has elapsed, an appeal may still be possible. There are exemptions (sometimes called "wild card") that also apply to bank accounts. It would be in the best interest of the debtor to find out what exemptions apply in the state of residency. And consider filing an appeal in the court where the judgment was granted.

What is the average income for an attorney?

Wow...that could be anything! Most Jr. Lawyers start around the 50,000 - 80,000k mark. That is in a well established lawfirm. It also depends on how many billable hours you can submit, what your trial history is ect. ect. ect. ........ Partners in lawfims make well over the 100k mark, again this is in a well established lawfirm. If it is a fledging lawfirm or just a Joe blow on is own it may (or maynot) be consideralby less. Again it's all in the billable hours, Advertising and Trial record. Either way remember the student loan factor.................years and years of student loan payments

What is the difference in a paralegal degree and a legal studies degree?

Both are meaningless. Neither one gives a person the right to practice law. Paralegals do not have to have a degree, most are just given that title by the lawfirm. There is no licensing or anything.

Who is the actress in the my time to quit commercial?

After much checking, she was on Seinfeld, Friends and a whole lot of stuff. Her name is Lynn Clark. I thought she looked familiar and I figured it was because I had seen her on Seinfeld. She played a lawyer named Vanessa that Jerry met at a party and only got her lawfirm's name--Simon, Bennet, Robbins, Oppenheimer, Taft--and then he staked out the place to see her again. A couple of episodes later, he tried to move the relationship to "phase II" by going away with her to Vermont, which backfired miserably. I think these two episodes were the 2nd and 4th in the series.

What will happen if you don't pay your eBay fees two thousands dollars?

They will definitely prosecute you through a local lawfirm according to where you live. My best advice is to talk to speak to one of their representatives and try to reach an agreement, they can be very flexible if you talk to them honestly. GOOD LUCK

not even the US government can do such a thing without your express written consent. so watch what you sign.Another VIew: I believe that a motion could be made to the court for an order for the release of pertinent portions of a subjects medical records if they were GERMAINE TO THE ISSUE AT TRIAL.

How much does a biglaw legal secretary make annually in new york city?

I'm a legal secretary in a major US lawfirm located in the Southeast. My salary this year will be around $73,000 (includes $4,000 bonus). It's good pay, but since they can't promote you to lawyer (who would want that job anyway?), it's dead-ended and can be monotonous. Once you get hooked on the money, it's hard to quit for something more fulfilling.
