When custody is not in question by the court you are free to go where ever it does not endanger the well being of a child. However, the father should be informed about the travel if the child has a relationship. Even if the other parent has only met the child once or a couple of times in the child life. You should inform the father so that he does not accuse you of absconding with the child and use that against you.
If you have a valid reason to move out then it's understandable. If you need more specific advice than you should consult with a family law attorney or best family lawyer in your area.
Thank You.
Yes the bilogical father will get the child .
Under all circumstances, unwed mothers have sole custody and control by default in every state until ruled on otherwise by the court. see link
A baby shower for an unwed mother is very appropriate. She will probably need more help than a married mother would. Be sensitive to the fact that the baby's father may not be in the picture. For instance, a bib that says "I love Daddy" would not be appropriate.
Difficult, but yes. In most cases, the state will take the child as single fathers have no assumed parental rights. see link
Nope, only if you are married to him
If the father doesn't have joint custody, then yes. If he does have some sort of custody, probably not. If you went to court, look on the papers or call the court and see how much parental rights he has.
I would think that if the mother and father are not together and the mother is willing to give up custody of the child to the father than the father would have rights to the child. If the adoption papers haven't been canceled yet they will have to be signed when the baby is born saying that the mother and father give up parental rights to the child
Unless the mother is unfit she will get the baby.
No, unless the baby's biological father relenquishes his parental rights, he would get custody of the child if the mother dies, not her husband. The biological father must sign his rights away to the mother's husband.
Whether an expectant mother is married or not really is irrelevant. She will still soon be a mother and would surely appreciate a baby shower card that wishes her health and happiness for her new baby just like any other mother would.
No
I believe that the mother should get custody and she gives the father a schedule to be on.
