I need to....I don't how to put it. I guess dumb it down. My english professor gave us three paragraphs to change into the way we would write it. And I swear to you that the 2nd paragraph is so confusing. I understand honors english is supposed to push you, but I have no clue how to change this one. I've tried the thesaurus, but it just confuses me again.
The paragraph I'm having a problem with. It has to do with the following book we are reading in class, The bluest eye. It's a good book so far.

For a long time, literature has been used as a mirror through which good mannerism are identified and encouraged while vices are castigated. The theme of Artifice appears through the character of Gertrude , The beautiful Queen of Denmark, Gertrude was a weak shallow woman, who was after affection and position, but she loved her son Hamlet .In Act III scene IV her son Hamlet killed Polonius then he told her not to tell the king that he was only pretending to be mad , she did not and in front her husband, she pretended as if she was agreeing with him. what paragraph? and if u wanna edit ur story remember to do dialouge, quotation marks,exclamation marks. And one more tip remember 2 check ur story twice
