The last answer was okay but heres the real deal , i had my lip pierced incorrectly about 2 months ago , i decided i would let it close so my parents would find out ..BAD IDEA i told them in the first place it was a pimple but a pimple only stays around for 3 days .. not two months so i decided better safe then sorry and i closed up my hole ...now my hole is closed but there is still a mark where it used to be and its a purple mark from the bruising so it really depends if you get it dont right honestly i got it done with a gun ( ear piercer which is illegal just about every where ) with a guy that never ever ever did it before so make sure you check your guy/girl is licensed and tells you how to help it close up fast and healthy. Be smart and see a professional body piercer in an actual body piercing studio not some clown with a piercing gun. this answer has a good point but how long did it take to close?

One piercing is on the left side of your bottom lip and is close to the side of your mouth and the other piercing is to the right side of your mouth. Snake bites aren't like normal lip piercings. Snake bites are about a cm below your lip while a normal lip piercing is right up against your lip.
