Sure you can just don't go out and be an idiot when you are out drinking, here's the skinny on drinking and tongue piercings. When you drink you dehydrate your self, you also seem to be fearless and do silly things like show everyone your tongue piercing. It's the hyper extension of the tongue in concert with over drinking and dehydration that makes the next day and all new sense of hell for your tongue. The swelling could be off the chart if you get carried away. So be smart eat before your get the piercing done (about and hour to an hour and a half before), if you go for a drink get the bar maid to get you a glass of ice water to help keep the swelling down during your visit (pop ice in your mouth and let it melt). Just be smart don't get too carried away, stay hydrated with water between drinks and have some fun. Keep the showing it off for a few days down the road, if you have seen one pierced tongue you have seen a dozen.
i wouldn't clean a tongue piercing with peroxide. when you first get your tongue pierced you're suppose to clean it with antiseptic mouth wash and you are suppose to drink liquids for a whole week when you first get it pierced.
rinse your mouth out with water and just keep your eye on it, should be fine. You can always call the professional who pierced your tongue if anything should seem odd. chances are, your tongue would be swollen now so, ice and water should take care of you! :)
Yes. but you cant drink, smoke. or eat anything that is hard.
Yes,yes you can
no
Yes but clean in out very well after your done with mouthwash
wait at least six weeks so as to give your tongue a chance to completely heal
after ten days i had it.
I got my tongue pierced over a week ago and my friend got her's a year before me. She drank on the third night after her piercing, and the swelling on her tongue went down. I also did the same, and swelling also went down. Just be careful, cause when you drink beer that early after piercing it, the tongue will tingle from the carbonation. My tongue ring is almost completely healed now.
I was told by my piercer that aslong as you keep it clean and free of debris it would heal just fine
No, it will cancel out the effect the antibiotic is having.
well, it is advisable. Although, i got my tongue pierced 4 days ago, i just rinse with water after i eat or drink, and use non alcohol mouthwas when i wake up, in the middle of the day and before bed. if you have mouthwash with alcohol, put a glass of water half full and mix in the mouthwash. ice chips in the water will help alot. x
