No it isn't. You have a dark colour. You would have to go to the salon and get the colour lifted in order to go to a lighter shade.

depending on how dark your hair is and what dye you use, you may or may not have to. if its a lighter to medium brown and the red your using is dark-ish, then you should be fine. it should show on the box what colour it'll end up like, but it chances are it wont be very bright red. if your hair is dark, the red wont be very noticable. if you want bright red, then you should bleach your hair.

I have ultra pale skin too. My hair style is mostly brown with tons and tons of blonde highlights that are very blended in, not thick strands like most highlights. If you have pale skin, I think blonde highlights are good because they help frame your face and don't make you look even lighter because of the dark hair right next to light skin. They can also make you look a little more sunny because of it. Definitely something to try out! (: Also.. If your unsure, I would buy box color of temporary blonde highlights and see how highlights look on you. I think temporary color washes out after a few days, but I'm not certain so I would be aware of that and check the box.

I think the dark blonde is the 9G light golden blonde . I think the light blonde is 9 1/2BB Light Beige Blonde, because on the website it shows this shade next to her picture in several places.
