Yes you can! I have stage three bladder prolapse with NO incontinence or sexual pain during intercourse. What I have is a small "bulge" on the right side of my vaginal opening that is sometimes pretty much unnoticeable, and at other times a bit bothersome but no worse.

After reading stacks and stacks of information on prolapse, and their surgery's' poor success rates (Some sources say that almost 1 in 3 prolapse surgeries result in further need for future surgery, and incontinence developing where there was none before.),I'll avoid any surgery I can till physicians perfect the surgeries that are now available to us women.

Currently, I use a estrogen cream twice weekly and it seems to do the trick for me. And remember, I have stage threebladder prolapse, one that most sources on the subject say always calls for surgery. My gynecologist does not agree.

Prolapse is an often unexpected development of menopause that no one tells you about till you have it. There should be more information made available to younger women when so that many of them can possibly avoid these surgeries before we are candidates for them in the first place. My suggestion is to check out everything and choose surgery as your absolute LAST option. It's your decision, in the long run, and it will effect you for the rest of your life.

What are the health education to a client in 24 hours urine collection?

To properly collect a 24 hour urine - empty the bladder at some time that's easy to remember, like 8AM or the time you get up every day. After emptying the bladder at that start time, collect all urine up to that same time the next day. At the same time the next day, empty the bladder one last time and save that urine also. So, start with an empty bladder and end with an empty bladder. Sometimes the collected urine has to be kept from light or refrigerated. If so, be sure to try to keep the collection container covered or cool.

Rectal prolapse?

DefinitionRectal prolapse is when the tissue that lines the rectum falls down into or sticks through the anal opening.Causes, incidence, and risk factorsRectal prolapse occurs most often in children under age 6 and in the elderly. It is often associated with the following conditions:ConstipationCystic fibrosisMalnutrition and malabsorption (celiac disease is an example)Pinworms (enterobiasis)Prior injury to the anus or pelvic areaWhipworm infection (trichuriasis)SymptomsThe main symptom is a reddish-colored mass that sticks out from the opening of the anus, especially following a bowel movement. The lining of the rectal tissue may be visible and may bleed slightly.Signs and testsThe health care provider will perform a physical exam, which may include a rectal exam. Tests will be done to determine the underlying cause.TreatmentCall your health care provider if a rectal prolapse occurs. In some cases, the prolapse can be treated at home. The rectal mucosa must be returned to the rectum manually. A soft, warm, wet cloth is used to apply gentle pressure to the mass to push it back through the anal opening. The affected person should be in a knee-chest position before applying pressure to allow gravity to help return the prolapse.Immediate surgery for repair is seldom needed. The underlying condition must be treated.Expectations (prognosis)Treating the underlying condition usually cures the problem. In otherwise-healthy elderly patients with recurrent rectal prolapse, surgery can repair anatomic problems that predispose them to prolapse.ComplicationsConstipationMalnutrition or malabsorptionOther complications of the condition that caused the prolapseCalling your health care providerCall your health care provider promptly if there is a rectal prolapse.PreventionTreating the underlying condition usually prevents further rectal prolapse.
