well you can try to use Nail polish remover. Permanent marker should rub off the iPod on its own (assuming it only the case and not the screen were coloured). You can help it along by rubbing it too. It you're going to go the nail polish remover route, try looking for one that does not contain acetone (e.g. try getting the nail polish remover that is safe for synthetic nails).
