Yes you can, you may have to change some settings on your ps2. Just turn it on with the game lid open, but usually you can just load it up as you would any other PS 2 game.

∙ 16y agoSorry, you can't put PC games in a PS2. The gaming companies do that so that you'll have to buy the machine that it is suposed to run in and spend more money just so the companies get more money.

∙ 12y agoPlayStation 2 games can only be played on a PlayStation 2 and on a PlayStation 3 60 gig launch model. PS2 games do not work on a playstation 1.
PS3's were initially made to be backwards compatible. This feature has since been removed to lower manufacturing costs to accomodate the price reductions of the unit in retail stores.
The PlayStation Network (PSN) online store has PS2 games available for download that are intended for use on the PS3.

∙ 12y agoTechnically it is possible with a lot of skill and an emulator like the PCSX2. You are not really paying a game and instead getting the thrill of bragging that you can play PS2 games on your computer because it takes much longer and success is considered by the ability to complete the game no matter how long it takes or how many problems you must resolve. It is nothing like slapping a disc in your PS2 and then playing the game without any problems
