No, not according to a friend who landed in the emergency room after having a seizure while on the way to work at 5 in the afternoon. Doctors thought she had a stroke until they admitted and found it was the drug combo. I think everyonel needs to question their doctor and pharmacy regarding taking these drugs instead of just taking them blindly. Make a choice.
These two medications should not be taken together. Ambien/Zolpidem is a hypnotic sedative and will make you fall asleep. Its purpose is for short-term treatment of insomnia.
Tramadol/Ultram is a narcotic pain reliever that causes drowsiness and has had many reported adverse side effects (including seizures and severely depressed respiratory drive).
Taking two medications that have very similar effects (drowsiness, slowed motor response, and are CNS depressants, etc) are extremely dangerous and shouldn't be done without on or under the advise of a physician or pharmacist.
Bad idea, unless your doctor prescribes it. DO NOT TAKE ANY COMBINATIONS OF DRUGS WITHOUT A DOCTOR'S CONSENT!!!
Tramadol isn't a narcotic. You can become addicted to hydrocodone. Not tramadol so much.
