technically nobody can stop you, but its not worth it. Please keep in mind that hydrocodone is extremely addictive and that it alone can damage your liver. But using both at the same time even for just a little while can do irreversible damage. Please be careful technically nobody can stop you, but its not worth it. You can if you actually HAVE plain hydrocodone. Are you talking about a cough syrup? Because if you have a tablet, what you have is hydrocodone plus acetaminophen. In that case, no you don't need Aleve on top of that. Taking too many pain medicines together can damage the liver and irritate the stomach and intestines.

Read the instructions on the Aleve box. Does it say not to take Aleve with this type of other medication. If it does say this then don't take it. Best bet is to talk with your pharmacist.
