Yep
Yes...that's why its called Guitar Hero... no, that's not true, you can play with the controllers on gh 1-3. once the microphone comes out you can no longer play with the controller, because that is the mic controller. in most cases yes.
It depends which Guitar Hero you have. Any of the Guitar Hero games except for Guitar Hero 1, 2, Rock the 80s and 3 have a band mode which lets 2-4 people play at once. For a full band you need 2 Guitar Controllers (any compatible with your console), a microphone (i am not sure about other people but Singstar microphones don't work on mine) and a Drum Set controller. You don't need to have all of these to play band mode, just two (the 2 Guitar controllers would be separate for that comment).
No you can. Once you inserted 3 guitar controllers and start quickplay or career everyone can choose a character and go to status ready, But when the band leader press start it says you got too many guitars. But in guitar hero 5 every combination is possible! Evenevery player plays guitar and no one bass.
Right now, there are no Guitar Hero games in development, so once they start making games again, there may be one. Iron Maiden has been in a few other Guitar Hero games though: - The Trooper (Guitar Hero II) - The Number of the Beast (Guitar Hero III) - 2 Minutes to Midnight (Guitar Hero 5)
You can use a controller hub to ad more but i think the limit is 4.
no. only for drums and guitar
As I am speaking from experience, I believe this is true! I was once challenged to a Guitar Battle on Guitar Hero by a friend who was a pianist. I am naturally a guitarist so you would expect me to have some kind of advantage. However, because Guitar Hero requires you to not look at the guitar while you play, you have to "guess" where the buttons are and hit them quickly. Therefore, playing guitar makes you worse at Guitar Hero.

it depends on if slipknot gains enough credibility. the only reason why they made guitar hero metallica and aerosmith and such is because they are EXTREMELY popular, and all the fans out there were rampaging the guitar hero makers for such games. once slipknot become extremely popular, and the gh makers think making such a game will make them a lot of money, then yes. so far, it looks like they could really make a guitar hero: slipknot.
It depends on which guitar hero you are talking about, but you can unlock dead! on guitar hero 2 once you get to the 6th tier.Teenagers, this is how i disappear, and famous last words can be purchased on guitar hero 2(360 only) as downloadable content through the 360 marketplace. As for warriors of rock,I'm not okay is already unlocked, and teenagers, bulletproof heart, welcome to the black parade,na na na(360 only) and Helena can be bought as downloadable content.Hope that helps.
You beat all of the songs in that venue (getting 3 stars at minimum...) Once you beat all of the venues and career modes,(lead guitar, bass guitar, guitar duel) you get the last 3 bonus songs.
You have to play through the game on Guitar, Bass, Vocals, AND Drums! Once you're through with each career, every song and playable character will be unlocked.
