Some students prefer to study alone while others like to study as a group. I beleive the choice of a student basically depends on his intellectual capabilites as well as his mind set. Personally both study techniques work for me. I state a few reasons in support of this.
Firstly, the latter technique works for me, for subjects that involve problem solving or analytical reasoning. As a group, different people will have different ideas and hence understanding the problem becomes easier. Also, with many people around, problem solving will not be as hectic as when done alone. As an advantage, peers of my study group have influenced my way of approach to certain type of problems. On the contrary this can be a disadvantage and might make things more difficult for certain students. This happens when peers are at a lower standard and degrade a student at a higher standard.
Secondly, the earlier technique works for me when I have very little time before an exam. Self study is the best for me at such times. I feel that anything that I learn on my own will be in memory longer than anything that I learn from others. Of course, for others the contrary might be more effective.
Thus, the method of study varies among students. Their choice depends on their intellectual capabilities and mind set. As for me, I choose the technique depending on the circumstances.
Group study allows for collaboration, sharing of ideas, and can help improve understanding through discussions. Studying alone allows for focused learning, personal pace, and independence in study methods. Both approaches have their benefits depending on individual preferences and learning styles.
Individual group tests in psychology are assessments designed to measure an individual's characteristics or abilities in a group setting. They are administered to multiple individuals simultaneously with each person completing the test independently. The results are then used to compare and analyze individual performance within the group.
Cross-sectional research studies a group of individuals at one specific point in time to understand relationships or differences between variables. Longitudinal research, on the other hand, involves studying the same group of individuals over an extended period to track changes and development in variables of interest.
Social psychology examines how group dynamics, social influence, and interactions between individuals within a group can influence behavior, thoughts, and emotions. By studying these processes, social psychologists aim to understand how belonging to a group can shape an individual's identity, attitudes, and behaviors.
A comparison group is a group in an experiment or study that does not receive the treatment or intervention being tested. It is used to compare the outcomes of the group that receives the treatment, allowing researchers to determine the effectiveness of the intervention.
One uncommon form of research design in studying human development is longitudinal research design. This design involves studying the same group of individuals over an extended period to track changes over time.
An advantage of a study group is that someone may point out something that you may have missed. A disadvantage of a group is that you may not get anything done. An advantage of studying alone is quiet. A disadvantage of studying alone is that you may miss something.
The control group doesn't get the drug, or the test, go through the procedure, or what ever it is you are studying. They are the "Zero" or "Baseline" that you compare all your test results to. Without a control group, you can't know if you get any results, good or bad

A test group is the group in an experiment to which the change is being applied and the control group is the same type of group in an experiment to which nothing is done to compare the changes in the test group to.
Yes, a person can excel in any subject without a study group besides a few. Social Studies requires a large portion of studying. Studying with a group has been said to be more interesting, therefor the student will be able to study more and remember the information better. There are also students to prefer to be alone when they study, and they can excel too.
Alone, the only cats that live in a family group (a pride) are Lions.
Higher secondary students typically refer to students who are in grades 11 and 12, or those who are pursuing their high school education after completing the mandatory schooling up to grade 10. These students are generally around the ages of 16 to 18 and are preparing for higher education or entry into the workforce.

Here are some examples: What should I do if I don't know what is the answer? Do I have to remember all the things that I have learnt to be a successful student? Do I need to have a study group or studying alone is better?
