Although he donated to Hillary Clinton and suggested that Obama should have picked her as his running mate, in actual fact, Trump, a long-time Republican, endorsed McCain (this according to a Larry King Live transcript).

President Obama have always been very close to the Clintons. The are close socially as well as politically. The Clintons have been close to the Trumps socially, but the Obamas haven't been. I fact Trump has repeatedly pointed out that Obama was born overseas and not a natural born citizen. This has led to friction between Obama and Trump.

First, I have not had any conversations with President Obama, so I cannot say with certainty what he feels about Donald Trump personally. But from conversations I've had with journalist friends, and from statements the president has made in public, he believes Mr. Trump is running a campaign based on bigotry, fear, and resentment. He also sees Mr. Trump as a political opportunist, someone who knowingly spreads false information (like the birth certificate myth) just to get votes. I doubt he "hates" Mr. Trump, but he certainly has very little respect for how the Trump campaign has been conducted (for example demonizing minorities, or calling for bans on certain religious or ethnic groups).

He has never said publically that he does. Perhaps dislike is a better term.

Is Donald trump losing the vote?

Yes. Donald Trump did not win the national popular vote, but won the Electoral College vote - which is how the President is selected. Anti-Trump factions have been trying to prove that Russia had involvements in the election that might have affected the outcome. After a year, they have not come up with anything definitive. To date, it seems the DNC might have been more actively involved with Russia than the GOP. The Investigation is ongoing.
