Jackie did not jump onto a parachute in Armour of God. He jumped from the cliff onto the top of a hot air balloon. As it is impossible to get a hot air balloon safely next to a cliff because of the height as well as air currents the scene was filmed in two parts. The first part Jackie jumps off the cliff. He did not parachute off the cliff but was on a wire.In the second part Jackie jumped out of a light aircraft and free falled onto the hot air balloon. Some of the close up scenes of Jackie on the hot air balloon were shot on the ground and you can see some trees in some of the shots that should not be there. What made the stunt truly amazing was that Jackie filmed it straight after returning to the set after the near fatal accident he had while filming. His triumphant gesture on completing the stunt in the outtakes is particularly heartfelt.
