• 1 Corinthians 13:4 states that "love is long-suffering," so Jesus definitely was showing love towards his disciples by keeping patient when it came to teaching them.
• Love also moved Jesus to care for the physical, material, and, most importantly, spiritual needs of his disciples.
• 1 Corinthians 13:5 continues describing love by saying it "does not keep account of the injury," which means love forgives. Jesus set a perfect example of this by forgiving Peter after he'd denied Jesus three times.
• Jesus exhibited the greatest act of love ever by giving his life for mankind. John 15:13 says that "no one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul in behalf of his friends", and this is exactly what Jesus did. He was the greatest man to ever walk this earth and we can learn much from his example of showing love for others.

Christ demonstrated perfect love and forgivness when on the cross he uttered the words 'father forgive them'.Luke 23:34 As God in human form (Phillipians 2:6-8), He had the power and authority to hurt/destroy His enemies, but even during this time of great suffering, he was able instead to show mercy and love

Another example was the evening before His crucifixion. When the Roman guards arrested Christ, Peter cut off the ear of one of those accompanying the guards. To which Jesus rebuked Peter and replaced the ear of the victim.

Yes, He did. He said to love them as God's child and to treat them as such. But, He also said that we do not have to love their behavior. If you know someone who is not a Christian, then you are suppose to love them as your brother/sister and be kind towards them. But, you are not suppose to hang out with them or condone their behavior.
