A love affair in the physical sense? Doubtful. He was young enough to have been her son. She enjoyed his company. She saw her mother in him. She enjoyed his company, tolerated his childish poutings and rebellion, but when he committed treason she had him executed.

2)I think she did have a secret lover because in the book named 'devil and his boy' she had a secret son named Robert which she had to get away with it not to be hanged.Which I don't agree the first İDEA.She was the queen. There were Gentlemen Pensioners...They protected him.And nobody could dare to kill the queen I guess...Read the book if you want to understand what I SAY...

β 15y agoNo, Queen Elizabeth I did not marry Robert Dudley. Elizabeth was known as the 'Virgin Queen' as she never married or had children. Robert Dudley was one of her many suitors, although her relationship with him was extremely close. It has been said that Elizabeth was deeply in love with him, although 'nothing improper ever passed between them.'
