Not so much 'tempted' , but Satan 'challenged' God's sovereignty.
In the Garden of Eden, Satan convinced Eve that God was withholding good from her and that she would be better off without his direction (Genesis 3:1-6)(Revelation 12:9). By so doing, many feel that Satan challenged not God's strength and mightiness, but his right to rule. His WAY of ruling. He did this publicly, in front of God's entire heavenly organization, raising questions in their minds that needed to be resolved.
He continued his challenge in the book of Job, claiming that God's creation was faulty, and that no human would remain loyal to God when under test (Job 1:6-12)(Job 2:1-8). He claimed that Job only served God for what he could get out of him and not out of love.
God trusted his creation and knew Job's heart, knowing he would remain faithful under even the worst conditions, but Satan's challenge had once again raised questions and doubts in the minds of the angels, and needed time to prove. Because of this, many feel that Jesus was sent as the ultimate answer to all challenges, successfully proving faithful under all tests, and will soon end all wickedness, but for now, the challenge will continue until God finally steps in to end Satan's rule (1 John 5:19)(Revelation 12:9-12)
If you have found God, you can be sure the devil will not give up without a fight. He will do everything he can to tempt you back to him. Do not let down your guard.
If the believer is not plugged in to the Word of God and is not in church every sunday, then it is easier for the devil to get into thier home and in thier lives and start to tempt them.
A cliff.
No.
The snake or serpent is a representation of the devil, or Satan, in flesh. He came to try to tempt Adam and Eve into turning from God.
the devil is shaitaan in the Qu'ran and the devil tempt's all religions to do sin's and do wrong, after the devil had a big argument with Allah (s.w.t) he was sent away but all the devil wanted was revenge so he began to tempt humans to do wrong.

No, God loves you. I hope you love him back someday. Remember that if a person ever hurt you that person was not God.
