it becomes ice
liquid
There actually is no specific ice temperature in the XL1900 Bag of Ice Vending machine as it does not use refrigeration coolants. It actually is insulated and cooled by the ice itself. Source: http://www.bagofice.com
This is a supercooled water.
Under O oC water become ice (a solid).
Solid (Ice), Liquid (Water), and Gas (Water Vapor). Transforming into these is a physical change. Water transforms into ice by being cooled & into water vapor by being heated and evaporating. Ice transform back into water when warmed. It must go through changing into water before becoming a gas. Vapor can transform into water by being cooled. It must become water before transforming into ice.
it has to be cooled because ice is cold not warm. it is impossible to make a warm ice cube
The water would have to be colder than the ice to keep it cold. That is not possible unless it is brine(salt water). Then ice at 32f could be cooled by brine at say 30f.
Most ice machines can make a lot more ice than they do. Hot water over taxes the ice machine and may cause the machine to cut off.
Carbon Dioxide, under pressure and cooled, becomes 'Dry Ice'. It takes on the appearance of a block of frozen water (ice).
Ice Machines are contained in a freezer or are stand alone. They have molds which are filled with water from a tube or pipe that is connected to the plumbing lines of the home or business. After this mold of water is frozen, the ice machine then releases the mold into a container.
Condensation. The water molecules in the air get cooled when they touch the cold ice pack and eventually so many water molecules get cooled they begin to stick to each other, and they stick to the ice pack.
