They taste sweet in a way just baked or prepared correctly the key is not to over cook or under cook them but if they are prepaired well then they have a naturally better taste.
That depends on your taste buds.
Las Papas (potatoes) do taste good with butter. (And cheese.)
Boiled potatoes with salt and butter, hot toast with butter and marmite, Bacon and fried eggs..........oh I got to go and eat some.
Without a doubt - they also have different levels of starchiness. Starchier/granier potatoes like russet are great for soups and baked potatoes. Waxier potatoes like Yukon gold are better for boiling, stews and salads.
They do if you like them. I LOVE potatoes.
potatoes are good to taste.
Boil your potatoes as usual and drain. While the taters are draining in the sink, use the same pot you cooked them in and add milk and butter to the pot, residual heat will melt the butter and heat the milk. Put the drained potatoes back into the pot with the milk and butter and mash by hand with a potato masher. Grate some nutmeg into the pot and use a hand blender to whip them adding more butter as needed. Keep the potatoes warm until serving.
this question doesn't make sence because butter can't taste!?

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking what the difference is between a PEI potato and a Yukon Gold potato. A PEI (Prince Edward Island) potato refers not to a potato varietal, but to the place where it is grown. The place where a vegetable is grown, the climactic conditions, the minerals in the soil, call all impact the ultimate taste of a crop. Hatch chilis are famous, and are rumored to be the best in the world, thanks to their unique growing conditions. Yukon Gold potatoes, at least in the current usage, don't refer so much to potatoes which are grown in the Yukon, but rather to a potato varietal. Yukon Golds are a waxy potato, they have a yellow skin and a little bit of a buttery taste, and they are far less starchy than a russet potato.
it depends, does it taste good? if yes, it's butter!
