This behavior is well-documented in grizzly bears. Otherwise, bears typically stay away from one another.
some male Black Bears will kill and eat cubs. they are capable of eating anything but not usually cannibalistic.

Yes, most do, well the Asiatic Black Bear does. They eat fruit, honey, small birds and animals, and insects. Black bears eat berries, insects and nuts. They will also eat the carcass of any animal! Black bears like a meal of fish, bugs, and berries.
Bears are not picky eaters, and would eat a bird.

Not normally but I expect a Bear would eat one if it could catch one or found it dead. But if a bear eat a bird of prey he'll die.
