If they aren't the same gender, then don't put them together! I have an older guinea pig and a year old guinea pig. You just have to introduce them the right way. I put mine in a play pen, i used a child pool(no water!!), then put a dish of hay in the middle. They nipped at each other at first But now they are BFF's!! If they are fighting, quickly trow a towel over them, that will stop the fight.
