Some seem to judging from the number of places of worship that exist and are still being built.

ANSWER: It depends on whom you worship. If you are going to worship Britney Spears, or Micheal Jackson I would prefer you do so in the comfort of your own home, but these idols do have special places where you can pay lot's of money to go and worship them, such as stadiums and arenas and places like that. If you worship yourself, I'd prefer you do that in the bathroom in front of the mirror but they do have special places where you can lie on a couch and tell you priest...uh, psychologist or psychiatrist all about your problems with being you and how wonderful it really is being you, and then talk a little bit more about everything you.

Most, not all, organised religions have a place of worship. This does not exclude the members of the religion from directly petitioning their God in such form as prayer, which can be and is practiced anywhere and everywhere. Most of these religions teach that there should be an intermediator between the God and the faithful. This is a priest, minister, vicar, elder, rabbi, etc. and although weekly (or such) worship is usually held in their appropriate house of worship, there are times and circumstances which do not require you (or them) being in that house of worship. In other faith, the place of worship is anywhere the practitioner is. So of these practitioners create their sacred space as they need it.

No. Wherever two or more gather in the name of Jesus Christ he will be there. The early church met in people's homes. The word for church in The Bible is ekklesia, which means gathering or assembly. In Hebrews 10:25, it encourages Christians to be: "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." The day is coming for all to meet the Lord.

The believers could meet anywhere, as Christ said: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20.

for me i can get all my angry energy out of me with prayer

Worship, the place you do it and the manner, or form it takes is a very personal thing.

My spiritual path teaches that you carry deity within you and can find them all around you anytime, anywhere. That means I do not need a special place or time or format to interact with my gods. When I am working with a large group of other pagans I create "sacred space" around us for the duration of the work we are doing together, but when we are finished the power used to create that space is released back into the Universe.

I'll be honest, I know any number of people of many different spiritual paths and we each have slightly different views on this subject.

I have been inside of dozens of churches, cathedrals, synagogues, temples, monasteries, tabernacles, mosques, meeting halls and even libraries where there is a feeling of the presence of deity, I can not and will not say that any of those spiritual pathways are wrong, I just know they are wrong for me.
