A sugar glider can eat dried fruit, but should noteat dried fruit. The fruit sugars are too concentrated, without any natural water to dilute the high levels.
Sugar gliders are not made to be pets, and if one mustkeep one of these delicate creatures in a tiny cage, restricting its freedom, one should at least endeavour to keep its diet as natural as possible.
We have a tame squirrel that we raised from 3 weeks old. She HATES rodent food, (I have tried every kind - even making my own), and will eat some vegetables, she loves fruit and nuts but they don't provide her with enough nutrition. I hit on the idea of giving her VEGETARIAN dog food for her main diet, and she is thriving on it. I do dip her fruit in yogurt and give her baby food dried yogurt bites because squirrels need alot of calcium. And before anyone goes squirrely on me - we understand that she is a "wild" animal - she does not think so. In the spring we will release her behind our house so she can come and go as she pleases.
Well parrots do.
don't feed pet birds dried fruit unless it's meant for birds. any other dried fruit contains sulfides or sulphates which can make them very very sick. But birds can eat any dried fruit but avocado.
yes they do but , they eat dried fruit and did you know they only nibble it!
Dried banana is a nutritious food for birds. But probably the real reason why birds eat dried bananas is that we feed them dried bananas. If we fed them something else, they would eat that instead.
