Best Answer

no,they eat seeds or ocasanolly dry grass

Turkeys have varied diets depending on location conditions and yes the do ingest meat, mostly in the form of insects and ground amphibians such as salamanders and small frogs or toads. Typical of most foragers a turkey will sample whatever food source it finds or is presented with, Wild turkeys are opportunistic omnivores, eating a variety of plant and animal matter wherever and whenever available. Poults eat large quantities of insects and other animal matter to get protein needed for rapid development.

Wild Turkeys will, in fact, eat meat. They are omnivores and if presented with the chance to eat flesh, they won't turn it down.
