Well since Kyrgyzstan is not as democratic and liberal as countries in the west, the issue of gay-marriage has not been as big as in the west. In the recent events problems such as civil liberties are on the background of economical and ethnicity problems. On the other hand Kyrgyzstan is Muslim country with about 90% population being Muslim, and as we all know Muslims really don't like gays.
