They have a timing belt they usually recomend to change it every 50,000 miles. other wise it could more expensive
First off, its a chain, NOT a belt, and you DONT change it unless it breaks. You can SET the timing, but you dont have to change the chain. You need a timing light to re-set it if its off. Its like a strobe light.
Timing BELT on both the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder and the 2.7 liter V6
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine.
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra has a timing chain. The timing chain the 2013 Elantra does not need to be replaced ever.
Its has a timing belt (2.0l 16 valve dual cam ) and a timing chain in rear of camshaft.
Actually a TIMING CHAIN ( 2006 and newer 4 cylinder Hyundai Sonata )
The 3.3 has a timing chain
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine.
In a 2006 Hyundai Sonata : The 2.4 litre four cylinder engine has a ( timing CHAIN )
Timing BELT because I have changed once and mine was a 2003 so I am sure it is since I haven't heard of a timing chain car in Hyundai.
yes
It actually in a funny way has both.. The main one to keep in mind is the timing belt, but it also has a chain that connects one cam to the other.. this chain needs very little to almost no replace ever. while the belt must be replaced every 60,000.. keep in mind that this engine has interfernce valves. So dont forget to change it or you will ruin your engine.
