A vasectomy is a surgical procedure where a medical doctor removes a section of the spermatic cord (the epidydimus) that goes from the testicles to the urethra. A section is removed and each cut end is sutured (tied off) so that (1) it will not grow back together, and (2) no sperm will be released into the abdominal cavity.

Testosterone is the male hormone that is produced by the testicles. This is the chemical

that gives a man hair on his body, a deeper masculine voice range, and produces the

sexual drive. The chemical enters the circulatory system and the blood carries it throughout the body.

Severing the epidydimus in no way stops the production of testosterone by a mans testicles.

No it does not. It only stops the sperm being released into the ejaculated semen. Apart from that it does nothing.

A vasectomy doesn't affect the production of the sperm. It only cuts the tube that delivers the sperm from the testicles to the penis.
