There are two different things people mean by "type-one" Diabetes. Sometimes they mean "juvenile (genetic) diabetes" (which is insulin-dependent). Other times they mean insulin-dependent diabetes in general, including type-two diabetes that has deteriorated until insulin injections are required.
In the second case, yes, it's possible for obesity to lead to insulin resistance which leads to diabetes, which in turn deteriorates until insulin is absolutely required. In the first case, no, juvenile diabetes appears in children from genetic causes.
Well, obesity is when you eat a lot of junk food and get really fat, and obesity can turn into diabetes when you get toward adulthood, although you can be born with diabetes. Diabetes is when your blood sugar gets dangerously high, and you can get that from eating too much sugar, which can turn into obesity, which can turn into diabetes.
Hope that helped some!
It can trigger it, since a part of your insulin must react with your fat cells. As you gain weight more is sequestered there.
Yes, being overweight can sometimes cause diabetes. It depends on other factors also but being overweight or obese will increase the chance of diabetes
It is one of the main factors of the disease.
A lack of physical activty may lead to obesity. Obesity is a high risk factor for developing Type 2 diabetes.
Obesity increases one's chances of having type 2 diabetes. Obesity can lead to insulin resistance, a hormone that is necessary for blood sugar management. When the body develops insulin resistance, sugar absorption in the blood is reduced or absent, resulting in elevated blood sugar levels. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed by losing merely 5 to 7% of your body weight.
Type 2.
Yes.
Obesity.
cardiovascular disease and mainly type 2 diabetes
Refined (processed) carbohydrates are a major cause of weight gain, obesity, many diet related diseases, and diabetes type 2.There will be a predisposition if you have obesity and/or a family history of diabetes. Many people who develop diabetes type 2 have both of these risk factors. However, it is possible to develop diabetes type 2 having only one of them, and it is possible (though rare) to develop it without having either of them. This is one possible progression:In susceptible individuals, eating refined (processed) carbohydrates can lead toWeigh gain or obesity which leads toInsulin resistance which leads toPre-diabetes which leads toDiabetes type 2.Not all people who develop diabetes type 2 are obese or even overweight. As already stated there may simply be a family history of diabetes type 2 or carbohydrate sensitivity.Causes of all types of diabetes are unknown, thought to be autoimmune disease. But there are still similarities seen between type 2's including obesity that put one at a higher risk, but obesity does not necessarily cause type 2 diabetes.
Overconsumption of unhealthy foods and lack of proper exercise.
Insulin resistance and obesity
Obesity
Type 1 Diabetes is acquired through genetics, and you can NOT get it from too much sugar intake. Type 2 Diabetes can also be through genetics, or it can be from too much sugar intake/obesity. Type 1 Diabetes is NOT acquired through diet/obesity/sugar. It is completely unavoidable.
The two main causes are obesity and lack of physical activity.
