What keeps kids out of trouble is a sense of self-worth. Doing homework and feeling like they have control over their lives is part of this. Feeling that they can succeed at something is another part. Helping your kids organize their schoolwork so that they can accomplish something is a good part of keeping them out of trouble. Have them set up a time every day to do schoolwork - either assigned homework or just studying over their books and notes - and keep a family calendar with all assignments listed so that everyone knows when things are due. Help your kids stay out of trouble by giving them healthy activities that will occupy their time so they don't feel "bored' and start looking for the wrong things to do - homework is one, but you can also help them find a club or sport to join, take them to church or temple or synagogue, help them find some sort of exercise that they like (Martial Arts also help build self esteem), and help them figure out what's healthy and what's not.

∙ 12y agoIt puts to much presure on kids which make them grumpy! When kids are doing there homework there getting tired so then they would do any thing to stop so they actually dont learn they just copy stuff down with not even caring.
