Certainly movies that have gang violence- and sometimes teen-aged crime as an integral part of the plot are no good. the positive nostalgia and old-songs aspect of American Graffiti was spoiled by a subplot of Jaydees running about ( during a concert or ball) and ransacking vending machines- this was shown on camera- how to do it? likewise such material as the West Side Story and Boys in The Hood which glamorizes gangsterism- junior grade. it is not a good thing. Kids get enough antisocial ideas- including how to commit various types of crimes from the Lawless Idiot Box (TV) why add to this dangerous diet.
