It is believed that wool does dry faster than cotton. Many think that wool does not absorb moisture like cotton does.
cotton drys faster
Cotton wool is coarse cotton fibres used for first aid gauze and tampons. Yes, cotton wool will dry in air given the time for whatever moisture it contains to evaporate.
Certain seeds (like cress or grass) need little to grow, but they do need water. That is why your seeds wont grow on dry cotton wool.
Cotton takes a longer time to dry than nylon due to its water retention capacity. Nylon does not hold water very well and can also have the effect of repelling water.
No- from my experience with drip-dry cottondrying on a line. In fact, pants may dry a little slower- the waist area takes longer, it seems. Rayon and polyester dry faster than cotton regardless whether they are shirts or pants.
cotton absorbs the most water, then wool, then nylon, ,and silk absorbs the least amount of water
Wool, to optimize, in winter, wear all 3 in layers, like so, cotton, wool, poly. And you're ready to Ski! Cotton will quickly absorb the moisture passing it along to the wool, wich has great performances even wet (75-80% insulation) and can dry quickly because of its density (loads of air), unfortunately they are generally quite fragile and uncomfortable, a layer of cotton is needed for high % wool, so a last layer of poly, wich doesn't do much else than a wind barrier, and some protection against branches and such. (Wich would be a nightmare with plain wool...)
A vaccum, cotton, dry wood, wool, polycarbonate and a number of other plastics.
we have tested 3 differet fabrics denim wool and pollyester the best result was pollyester wool second and denim last with an adverage temperature drop of 3 degree's every 2 mins when it was wet and dry
Because it absorbs water, that helps it dry, unlike silk, and it doesn't have capillaries ,unlike cotton. I'm a super genius! No I'm not but I'm doing my science fair project on it. Ice cream will soon be know as the thing that saved man kind! XD
FLEECE or WOOL will be the best because it can keep you warm and dry. Cotton might be comfy but it won't keep you as warm and if it gets wet it will not keep you dry. It will stay wet(cotton). But, the choice is yours so go ahead and pick any fabric you want.
no it accually takes longer to dry
