How can you tell the age of a dwarf rabbit and what is the difference between a dwarf rabbit and a normal rabbit?

Dwarf rabbits are basically the same as all pet rabbits, so you can tell their sex (male/female) in the same ways. It's very difficult to tell if a baby rabbit is male or female. Until the testicles descend (anywhere from 9 to 20 weeks of age), you can't tell if a rabbit is male or female. See the related question below for more details.

Where can you buy baby dwarf rabbits in Buffalo NY?

The best place to look for a bunny would be your closest rescue. There are often bunnies looking for good homes in rescues. If that is not an option, there are always bunny breeders (who can be found by looking in the phone book) or many pet stores have animals. However, before buying a rabbit from a store, or a breeder it is good to check they are at least 8 weeks old and healthy before taking them home.

When does a rabbit leave it mother?

Dwarf rabbits are like all pet rabbits in most ways, including when they can safely wean. Rabbits begin to wean around 4 weeks of age. By 6 weeks of age, they should be fully weaned. By 7 weeks of age, the rabbits are ready to be separated from their mother.
