Yes, you can get extra time. When you first open a board there is a box on the bottom left corner that allows you to check it to receive more time. You agree to forfeit bonus points, but I use this option frequently. However, if you need to play it in the more time format more than once in order to finally beat it, you need to go back to the family tree and restart on the individual you are currently playing, as resetting the board does NOT give you the more time-forfeit bonus option.
there is no extra dungeons in master quest the dungeons are just harder and kinda mixed up
