Heathrow Airport is situated at the Western extent of the Piccadilly line. Passengers for Terminals 1, 2 & 3 should alight at the Central Station, which is announced and displayed as 'Terminals 1,2,3'. Trains currently serve the airport via direct services to the Central Station before carrying on to the station at Terminal 5, or by diverting to the station at Terminal 4 by way of a loop prior to calling at the Central Station. Regular crew-made and automated announcements remind passengers to observe which train they are on as the Terminal 4 trains may hold at Terminal 4 for 8 mins prior to returning to the Central Station.
