Could be lots of things. If you have a standing pilot light, one that stays on all the time, the thermocouple may be bad. A thermocouple is a small rod that sits in the flame of the pilot light. It then runs to the gas valve. This produces a small amount of electricity that keeps the valve open to let the gas in. If the pilot light goes out it shuts the valve so the house doesn't blow up. Easy enough to replace. If the pilot light is still on and the furnace will not light, it has to be the thermocouple.
Check fuses at the furnace and in the panel.
Newer gas furnaces have a circuit board in them that can go bad. There are a dozen things that could keep it from working, it is just a process of elination.
If your heater is a heat pump , then yes.
Because it is a heat pump, meant to be able to either heat or cool the home, depending on the season.
No, that is just for cooling. The heat from inside is transferred to the outside unit and removed by the fan.
Inside the heater/ac unit close to the main unit.
Yes, they are the same unit.
Floor heating is when you have heating units beneath your tiles that generates heat that radiates from beneath the home. Baseboard heaters are heater units that usually sit parallel to your baseboard. Each unit of baseboard heater is independent. Floor heating is more of a central heating unit.
A kerosene heater has a wick made of fiberglass that is connected to a kerosene tank. When the wick is lit, the kerosene keeps the wick burning, and a convection unit in the heater uses the flame to heat the air. In some kerosene heaters, there is a fan to blow the heated air into the room to heat it faster.
One major benefit of a heat exchanger is that it quickly transfers heat from one medium to another such as an air conditioning unit or a space heater.
When cold, the unit should heat with 3-4 minutes of the engine running.
The air mix door on the in cab part of the unit is stuck in the heat position. follow the cables down from the controls on the dash and you will find the lever that controls the mix door, flip it the other way. for repair you will need to disassemble the heater unit if the cable has not just come loose from the arm.
What size of central and heat unit do you need for 916 sq ft?
Will a 40,000 btu furnace be enough to heat my 1375 square foot middle unit town house.
