The Titanic had two four-cylinder, triple-expansion, inverted reciprocating steam engines and one low pressure Parsons turbine. Steam came from 29 boilers which used 159 coal burning furnaces. They were big. I'm not sure of the weight of the engines.

Engine was 30 feet in height and weighed 1000 tons. The high-pressure cylinder was 54 inches in diameter and the Intermediate-Pressure cylinder was 84 inches in diameter and the low-pressure cylinder was 97 inches in diameter. The operating speed was 75rpm and stroke was 75 inches.

The specifications of the engine room was: the Reciprocating-engine room 69 feet;

the Turbine-engine room 57 feet; and the Electric-engine ROM 63 feet.

There were twenty-four double ended boilers and five single ended boilers which were housed in six boiler rooms. The double ended boilers were 20 feet long, had a diameter of 15 feet 9 inches and contained six coal burning furnaces. The single ended boilers were 11 feet 9 inches long with the same diameter and three furnaces. Smoke and waste gasses were expelled through three funnels. (I believe one of the funnels was a fake.)
