You can protect your outlook accounts with password but the password encryption in a PST file is very weak and there is also possibility of forgetting it. You can do the recovery of the lost pst password with pst password recovery utility.
Couple days ago I had an unpleasant situation with my MS Outlook and outlook passwords too. But fortunately I entered the I-net and by accident stumbled upon a good utility. To my great surprise it settled my troubles quite easily and rapidly. Perhaps it has many good features for resolving other complicated conditions.

- Open MS Outlook >> hit on File tab >> Account Settings >> Account Settings >> choose the account from which you want remove the password.
- Under Data file tab, Click twice on selected account.
- A new window will open, click on Change Password button >> click OK.
