How can a dog sniff out things and people?
They possess some 300 million olfactory receptors in their noses, compared to about six million in humans. And the part of a dog's brain that is devoted to analyzing smells is, proportionally speaking, some 40 times greater than ours making them able to pick up trace smells many time fainter than ours can

because they eat bannanas! I'm sorry... but whoever did that i automatically classify as annoying. But anyhoo, dogs sniff each other to get eachothers scent and sometimes t…hey're mood. Also, if it is a female in estrus, all the more reason for a male dog to sniff.
Because it is an instinct, Dogs do that. LOL. It's true. To find out the other dogs gender, age, health and breed. Also, I believe they think it smells good. Perhaps t…he above is correct, but... But mostly, it's a way for dogs meetings for the first time to establish dominance. IOW, the stronger dog digs his nose in deep but forbids the weaker dog to get near his own anus. If neither dog is willing to submit, then it's fairly certain things will get violent. Once the dominance is established, subsequent meetings will be peaceful...with only a polite sniff with tails wagging before they go off to play. It's to see if is male or female.
Because they want to know what kind of dog they are. It's just a way of them getting to know each other.
because they rely mostly on scent. sence their vision is black and white.
That is their way of identifying you and learning who you are so they will recognize you later.
Yes, a dog can sniff out narcotics.
Yes a police dog is allowed to sniff people
Dogs sniff things because this is how they find out about their environment. By smelling the telephone at the end of your street they can tell how many male dogs have peed on …it. They can also tell what other kinds of animals have been in the area by smelling.
Just about everything.
to see where they've been.
That's how dogs greet each other, so the dog is just trying to say hello.
to find there way around or if there hungry yeah that or they smell random things lmao
simply there nose is relly good so when sniffing you private parts they smell ur bum so its there way of saying hello
To get an idea of the other dogs in the neighborhood. Urinating on things is a dog's way of dropping his business card on another dog's desk, as it were.

No, that's the reason why they chase their tails. ;)
