A flamingo only bends it's leg while standing still. To walk it simply walks like any other bird.

The stress you put on your back when you do that is tremendous. Bending over puts stress pulling forward on your back and when you twist your back has too work 10 times as hard because you're twisting vertibre and other muscles out of place.
You stick out one of your legs and touch your back leg on the ground while bending your front and back leg.

The basic back handspring requires three main elements: leaning back while bending the knees and swinging your arms back, jumping up and back while reaching with your arms and looking for you hands, and blocking ( a shrug of the shoulders instead of bending you arms) to your feet. The trampoline has a stretchy surface which allows you to exert less energy on your jump and land on your hands with less force.
