Answer . \nit's not a satellite, it's a space station. they're doing tons of research up there. go to nasa.gov for details.\n. \nso much of what we use today is spin-offs… of the Apollo mission from a generation ago.
Answer . Without the space shuttle and space exploration in general, PC's, Microchips, PDA'S and all sorts of electronic, Hospital, Meterology and astrology equipment and/…or techniques may not exist now
they can take highly accurate pictures and give us information that we might not be able to get while on earth
it orbits the earth and gathers informationusing both television cameras and electronic sensors
They don't help normal citizens, they help the government watch everyone's every movement
Tropical cyclones, the generic term for hurricanes, typically form over large bodies of water where there are very little to no surface observations. Satellites help fill in g…aps in this observational data by showing where tropical cyclones are located. Using different kinds of satellite imagery it is possible to estimate the strength of a tropical cyclone. Animated imagery can also tell us which direction the tropical cyclone is moving and estimate how fast it is moving.
It is formally known as geography but is really of anthropology & Topography.
A space observatory. Its the Hubble space telescope which is one of the most well known space observatories, a large telescope satellite that is in orbit above the earth. The …advantage of putting a telescope here means that there are no dust particles or atmospheric disturbances in the way, meaning it can capture far more detailed pictures and measurements.
That's not an easy question to answer since the history of science extends far beyond any written records. All we can say for sure is that prehistoric man must have studied th…e natural sciences happening all around him. He was no scientist by today's standards, of course, but even philosophers cannot attribute supernatural explanations to natural phenomena without first studying the phenomena. They may not have understood it, but they could certainly study it. But as to who was the first to study natural phenomena, nobody can possibly know for sure.
Satellites can be loaded with a number of remote sensing systems to measure aspects of the Earth such as temperature, atmospheric composition and distance to surface as well a…s photograph areas such as deserts and the polar ice fields. This data is transmitted to Earth for analysis and to develop long term data bases to demonstrate change.
Geologists and Geophysicists study the Earth and its processes. Both work in the field of Earth sciences.
