If you are standing on the ground then the ground is opposing your weight due to gravity, with a reaction force equal to and opposite to your weight. If you are parachuting down at a steady speed then the air resistance from the parachute is equal and opposite to your weight. If you are in an airplane then the lift from the wings is equal and opposite to the total weight of the plane.

Things that fly with wings are able to use the properties of the atmosphere to exert an upward force that's greater then the downward force of gravity. If there was no atmosphere birds and airplanes could not fly. Rockets are a different matter. They can fly without an atmosphere because they are able to spew out hot gas witch gives them an upward force greater then gravity.

Forces that defy (resist) gravity are : vertically applied forces and air resistance. For example, if you throw a stone vertically in the air, the stone will continue to moving in the direction of the applied force. Have you ever wondered why sky-divers do not fall down and die? The answer to this is because the parachute have large surface area that collect air to reach terminal velocity (a stave where gravitational pull due to weight equals air resistance). Hot air goes up, mind you.

No way to destroy, divert, deflect, decrease, neutralize, counteract, or turn off

gravity has ever been found, or any way to shield yourself from its forces.

============================

Yes it has been found. Theoretically it was demonstrated that something called Negative energy exists and has the ability to work against gravity. Scientists have found evidence of this in an asteroid 1950 DA. Although it is not a negative energy but its a van Der Waal's force that is counter effecting the gravity.

Why can brids defy the law of gravity?

Birds have evolved from the same common ancestor as reptiles, they have many homologous characteristics. What makes them different however is that birds have hollow bones and many other key characteristics to make them lighter. They do not defy gravity, they are lighter and spread that light body weight over a great volume of air to support their mass.

Can you make a gravity gun in real life?

NO!

Can scientists make real Pokemon?

we have created many breeds of dogs cats hamsters you name it so maybe if we breed other animals to at least make something like a pikachu

How come birds can defy gravity and humans cannot or is there a way to make us fly without an airplane?

They don't. Nothing does. ;) But, how do they stay up? They are using the air to hold them up. Still air isn't good for much useful work. But, moving air can be a very powerful thing. Air can move kites, windmills, sailboats, paintballs, trees, houses and cars. It will even blow away your umbrella. Birds are able to harness this power and use it to keep them above the ground. They beat their wings to force the air to move and they can glide at higher elevations by using the existing currents. They have very lightweight bodies and long wingspans compared to their size. When they are flying they hold their bodies horizontally and tuck up their feet to allow the air to flow as smoothly around them as possible. This allows for faster moving, more supportive air. Try folding paper airplanes in a variety OS shapes to get an idea of what shapes glide well and what shapes don't. This will help you visualise the way a bird's body shape helps the bird to fly.

Why the original Aladdin he had unlimited wishes in the Disney Aladdin he had only three?

They couldn't make it that easy; if they did there would be no conflict. Aladdin would be almost omnipotent, save a few taboo wishes. No one would be able to defy Aladdin because he could just wish them away. They would have nothing to make a movie about.

What does UFOS have to defy gravity and no noise?

UFOs are simply things that not readily identified. They are not 'alien' spaceships. Nor do they defy gravity and there are many phenomena that do not make any noise.

How do clouds defy gravity?

To say clouds defy gravity would be misleading, as they do not defy gravity. However rising air currents keep the clouds in the air. The air currents are stronger than the rate at which gravity makes the rain fall (which is not that fast). Clouds are so light, that even the smallest upward air current can make a clouds stay up. Rain falling is basically when the mass of the drops exceed the air currents.

Why can you fly?

If you mean human then no.humans cant fly.Humans have weight plus gravity is taking place so humans ant fly.If you mean birds they can fly because they have wings which can defy gravity and make them fly into the air.

Can you easily defy gravity?

You may defy it, but gravity will always win. Bwa-ha-ha-ha. But seriously folks . . . "Defy" is a very dramatic and meaningless word. There's no way to turn gravity off, or shield yourself from it. But fortunately, the net effective force on anything is the vector sum of all the individual forces acting on it. So if you can set up other forces on an object in addition to the gravity that's always there, you can make the object behave as if the net force on it were zero, or horizontal, or slanty, or straight down, or even straight up and completely opposite to gravity. That's exactly what you do every time you use your leg muscles to exert forces on your body in addition to gravity, and walk up the stairs.

No. So far this has not been possible. Can water defy gravity and climb uphill?

You can take it up in a pail, for example. In general, if there is another force which is (at least locally) stronger than gravity, it can take water uphill. WITHOUT such additional forces, no, this isn't possible. In general, you need energy to push something up, against the pull of gravity; you need to get this energy from SOMEWHERE.

Is it possible to make something like a nerve gear?

Yes. It is possible to make something like a nerve gear.

Is it possible to shift center of gravity so you cannot be lifted?

Yes, it is possible to make yourself harder to lift. By shifting your center of gravity , which is usually referred to as your hips, down you can make it much harder to be lifted. It depends on which kind of lift, but this usually does the trick. <><><><> Shifting your center of gravity does not make you heavier. It shifts the point where your body is balanced.

Is the motorola defy better than the iphone?

The Motorola Defy is similar to the iphone in appearance but very different in price. The Motorola Defy is not as expensive as an iphone. Depending on what generation of iphone you want to compare the Motorola Defy to can make a huge difference when comparing features and price.
