HOW TORRENTS WORK

I'll try my best to explain how downloading works...

To download torrent files (.torrent) from any torrent listing website you first need a program that will let you download files in that format. A very reliable Bittorrent client is Utorrent, which can be downloaded for free from:

www.utorrent.com/download.php

After downloading and installing Utorrent, you can change its preferences to choose where the downloaded files are stored or where currently downloading files are stored, etc. If not selected, they will normally appear under 'Downloads' within your local User directory. For example, if your PC name is set as 'John', then the downloads will appear under 'C:\Users\John\Downloads'.

Now that that's taken care of, you can start downloading torrents. Start searching on isoHunt for the torrent you wish to download.

Remember that when you download the torrents, it will ask you whether to open or save the file. Select the 'Open with' option, and make sure the listed program to open with is 'Utorrent' (or whichever bitTorrent client you are using)

Once you click 'Ok', Utorrent will automatically open (if not already open) and start downloading the file. The interface on Utorrent is simple and easy to understand. Drag your mouse over any of the buttons on top to see their description.

You have quite a lot of options to handle each torrent using the buttons on top of the program, including 'Pause', 'Stop', 'Start'. Remember that the 'Big Red X' is to remove the torrent. Once the torrent has completed downloading, I suggest you press the 'Stop' button and then use the 'Big Red X' to remove the torrent from the list.

Note that these functions can also be accessed just by right-clicking on the torrent itself. And yes, it is safe to exit Utorrent even when a torrent is being downloaded, even though I suggest you first 'Stop' them before exiting the program.

You can almost limit your download speed for each torrent by right-clicking and selecting 'Bandwidth Allocation > Set download limit > your chosen limit'

For faster downloads, I recommend you keep your upload limit high as well. The steps for this are the same as in the above paragraph. Right-click torrent(s) > Bandwidth Allocation > Set Upload limit > your chosen limit

IMPORTANT : Also, whenever you download, always read the comments. Torrents marked with 'Red' stars/comments beside their name in the search listing are almost always fake. The ones marked 'green' are normally safe. Before you start downloading, you might also wanna have a look at this:

It is actually very simple...

You first search the movie you want to download but you should type it like this= movie title + torrent

The reason for this is Bittorrent is a programme that converts TOR files into the files that you want e.g WMV, EXE etc.

Once you have downloaded it to your computer you say open on Bittorrent.

Then all you need is or 7zip or WinRAR

The way to download a movie from the site PickTorrent is to first have a torrent downloader installed. From there, a person can choose the torrent from the site and it will download in the torrent manager.
