All dealers keep the key code on file for the vin. Copy down the vin and call the dealership. They may want to see some sort of proof you own the car, and you'll probably pay $40 plus for the key, but should still be cheaper than a locksmith.
(IMPROVE)
NOT all dealers keep key code by VIN. As a matter of fact many don't, and some only go back a certain number of years. Depending on the make and model of car you can get a code off one of the locks, but if the car is locked that won't do any good.
Call a locksmith. There is no way to retrieve the code from outside.
I don't think there IS a way...the default original code should be on a sticker in the trunk (either on the trunk hinge or perhaps behind the trunk liner)...but that doesn't help you if you are locked out. HOWEVER, doesn't this make sense? If there WAS a way to determine or override the door key code when the car is locked, what good would locking the car be? Anyone who "knew" how to defeat the code could just open your car whenever they felt like it!
if the car is locked no if its unlocked yes
best way is to use the key
If the spare key to the car is not readily available, call a car rescue company such as the AA, RAC or Green flag who should be able to assist you in getting your car door open.
you call your husband if has a matching key
Locksmith Local police
Use the key.
Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the car). Leave it that way for approx. one hour. Then the radio will go back to the CODE sequence. You will then need to enter the correct code to get the radio to work.
The key would be favorite.
