Narcissists are tricky, and I've done a lot of research on this subject. Manipulating a narcissist isn't really that hard. You can smother the narcissist in compliments, you can intimidate them with something they fear, believe me it works.
The word "manipulate" is a verb because someone is doing something. They are manipulating.
Narcissists are addicted to narcissistic suppy. Narcissistic Supply (NS) includes attention, fame, notoriety, adulation, fear, applause, approval. It is a mixed bag. If the narcissist gets attention -- positive or negative -- it constitutes NS. If he can manipulate people or influence them -- positively or negatively -- it qualifies as NS. Even quarrelling with people constitutes NS. Perhaps not the fighting itself -- but the ability to influence other people, to induce feelings in them, to manipulate them emotionally, to make them do something or refrain from doing it. Yes these are mental abuse tactics and they are designed to control another person's free will. Mental abuse is as hurtful as physical abuse. I would advise against trying to manipulate others into doing things you want them to do. Instead reach their hearts and have their best interest in mind.
one reason is because she is properly doing something she has no business doing
Spending with interest
only doing it for self interest.
If your daughter really, really had no income, there is no need to file. Remember that income does not just include wages from a job. It includes interest on a bank account, a scholarship that pays for room and board, withdrawals from an IRA, money for doing odd jobs during the summer, etc.
In the book, it was the mayor's daughter Madge, who is someone Katniss considers a friend. In the film, she got it for free due to her interest in it while doing some trading in the Hob, or something like what we call a Black Market
Manipulation involves influencing someone else's beliefs or actions for one's own benefit, often through deceit or coercion. Peer pressure can involve manipulation when individuals use social tactics to pressure others into conforming to a certain behavior or mindset. This can lead individuals to make decisions against their own best interests or beliefs.
