The answer before is true but tsunamis can strike anywhere along the coast and your best course of action is to learn the warning signs of an oncom tsunami and if you ever notice these signs don’t wait or hesitate run 2km inland and get 100feet above sea level. If you can not get out in time climb as high as possible or run towards the tsunami. The reason I say to run towards the tsunami is because you have better chance at surviving being hit by a tsunami if your away from the shore line where as if you were caught on the beach you would thrown into buildings trees cars and other things almost instantly leaving you with a drastically lower chance at survival.

∙ 13y agoSome tsunamis are known to have traveled 500 miles per hour or more, so without a warning there is very little time to escape to the only safe place--high ground.
never go to the basement and it takes 60 miles per hour to get where you at so for that 60 miles you need to try to get far as you can and never go in a low area or you will drown.try to get a supply of food and water too and some clothes for the road and if you got a car get supply of gas for the road.

When a tsunami hits, don't stop to try to take any belongings with you, they'll hold you back and then run as fast as you can away from the ocean to higher ground. If you see waves you're too close. Make sure you're always prepared for tsunamis if you live close by the ocean and especially if one has hit there before. Also, put foam and air sacs under your house, then when the floods hit, get up to the roof and have alittle picnic, but your house will simply float along the wave, giving you a free relocation :) don't forget to tie things down inside, could get a bit choppy.

∙ 13y agoyou can stay safe in a tsunami by moving from the section were it is going to hit super badly and by getting all of your important supplies that you really need and staying together as a family and grabbing food and water and life jackets! and be safe and whatever you do stay safe!
