There are several ways to store DVDs on your computer.
By far the easiest is to copy the files from the DVD into a folder on your hard disk. If it is a video DVD you will usually see "audio_ts" and "video_ts" folders. Copy these into a separate folder. Data DVDs will be several files and folders.
Another way is to make an image of the disk. Many different software products such as Nero Burning Rom & Power ISO will allow you to make images on your HDD. You will need a program such as Power ISO to mount and read this file but to the computer it will appear to be a normal DVD.
I big caveat here. Under certain situations copying the contents of a DVD can be considered breech of copyright laws and maybe illegal in your country.
