You can't watch it on your TV until you have Published/Finished the movie file (MSWMM) and burned the exported video to DVD first.
Publish/Finish the movie in Windows Movie Maker. This process mixes-down (exports) the file to a Standard viewing format. Once you have done that, burn the video to DVD. Then you will be able to watch it on TV.

Once you have Published your project on Windows Movie Maker, upload it to a site such as YouTube (you will need to register for a free account first). Once it is uploaded, you will be able to watch the video on the web.
Try watching it on your Windows Media Player. If you can't see it on Windows Media Player, then it is not formatted correctly to view in Windows Live Movie Maker.
